Mary died as a result of being hit by an automobile on Rt 14 (Main St.) Millport. She was a junior in high school class of 1966. It was a very sad occurence for our whole class as well as her family.
Mary De Hass was killed June 13,1965. She was hit by two hit-and-run drivers. She is burried in St. Mary Our Mother Cemetery in Horseheads. Never forget her. She slept in Mr. Callahan's World History class most every session. When Mr. Callahan announced her death, there were tears streaming down his face. He was always kind waking her up. Her death shook him very much. Amazing what details you remember of certain incidents.
