Denny Calvin Hoy - Class Of 1968

  Denny Calvin Hoy

HOY, DENNY CALVIN, 57, of North Lauderdale, Florida passed away unexpectedly in his sleep at home on Thursday, March 6, 2008. Predeceased by his parents, Collins Denny Hoy in 1980 and dearly loved mother, Mildred Newman Hoy in 2000, Denny was born in Houston, Texas on April 19, 1950. He moved to South Florida in 1972 and married Deborah Jean Murphy in 1974, who preceded Denny in death last year on June 30th. Denny is survived by his two adoring daughters, Jean Marie Hoy of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Michelle Hoy Emond and husband Dennis of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He is also survived by his beloved sister, Debbie Hoy Hutcheson of San Antonio, Texas. He was a graduate of Westchester High School where he was on the Golf Team and attended Texas A&M University and though in Florida, he was still an Aggie. Denny worked for George Weston Bakeries as a District Sales Manager for many years and was looking forward to retirement in the near future. Growing up on the golf course, Denny was an avid golfer and loved the game. Denny was a devoted family man and enjoyed spending time with his two daughters, traveling to San Antonio to visit his sister and playing with their family pets. He recently gave his youngest daughter away in marriage and loved watching his oldest daughter, a formal World Team speed skater and second degree black belt. Denny has many dear friends and co-workers that will miss his wonderful smile and can do hard working spirit. Denny's legacy endures, in his memory, celebrate each day and know "it is what it is."

Still missing and will always love you, my dear Brother.  You were a wonderful best friend and everything a big Brother could be.  Many warm, funny and wonderful memories of spending that year together at Westchester.  The heart remembers.....everyday....
