Bob was a quiet classmate, a good science student. He went to A&M as an engineering undergrad. We went to the same church (Memorial Drive Christian Church), and that is where I really knew him. Quite tall, I invited him to join our intramural basketball team at Westchester called the Big Figs (guess why!), that also had Doug Roberts and Jeff Sprague on it. Bob was our force in the paint. We weren't that bad! Bob was smart, tender-hearted and very decent. Sadly, he found the rough-and-tumble of the world deeply painful, and he took his life before graduating college. I've never forgotten about you, Bob.
