I have had the privilege of supporting the Global War On Terrorism 5 times: (1) September 2003 through April 2004 in Central Iraq and was present when Saddam Hussein was captured, (2) September 2006 through July 2007 in Southern Iraq and was in country during Saddam's execution, (3) December 2007 through September 2008 Central Afghanistan, (4) May 2010 through December 2010 Southern Afghanistan, and (5) May 2011 to present Northern Afghanistan. September 11, 2001 I was at Capitol Hill (across from the Pentagon) for a briefing when we were interrupted by a plane being lodged into the Pentagon. The emotions and after effects made me committed to supporting our troops (I was in the Navy during the Iran Hostage crisis and served in that part of the world) as long as this crisis exists.
