Hanneman, 48, died unexpectedly on Sunday March 10, 2013 at home.
A resident of Austin since his graduation from the University of Texas, he worked as an independent video producer and cameraman locally and internationally. He participated in a wide variety of network and cable tv shows including ESPN, Food Network,The History Channel, and many events connected with SBSW and the Austin City Limits Music Festival. In Guatemala he filmed a movie for Catholic Relief Services, and in Vietnam a Discovery Channel movie titled.. "An Ocean Away."
He is survived by his wife, Julie Fantechi Hanneman, and a daughter Lily Harper; his mother, Doris K. Hanneman of Houston, father Richard Hanneman of Houston; and stepmother Sandra Hanneman of Houston. In addition, other survivors include brothers: Eric, Raleigh, N.C.; Mark and wife Barbara, Reno, NV; Paul and wife Audrey, Los Angeles; and Joel, Newport, R.I. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 15 at 5 p.m. at the Angel Funeral Home, 1606 S. 1st Street, Austin.
