MR ROY MEDICH OAM CLO JP - MANAGING DIRECTOR OF MEDICH CORP

Roy’s desire to help others less fortunate was reinforced during his high school days at St. Joseph’s College, Hunters Hill.
Whilst working in the hotel industry during the late sixties, Roy attended East Sydney Tech part-time and successfully completed three (3) hotel related certificate courses and a Diploma in Hotel and Motel Management (international Correspondence School).
At the age of 20 he was given the opportunity to manage the Regal Theatre at Liverpool. This position allowed him to become even more involved with his local community and in particular Liverpool Hospital. This relationship continued with his appointment to the Board of Directors of the South Western Sydney Area Health Service in 1998 to 2003.
As co-manager of both the El Toro Hotel at Warwick Farm and the Stardust Hotel at Cabramatta during the seventies he was able to continue his many community activities.
After the death of his father in 1978 Roy together with his brother Ron, established Medich Enterprises, which later was known as Medich Property Group, to hold, develop and invest in property. For family planning reasons, Roy and Ron now control their own portfolios. Roy, along with his son Anthony, established Medich Holdings, which currently holds a substantial portfolio of investments in Sydney, the Hunter Region and in Melbourne. Today it is known as Medich Corporation (www.medich.com,au).
