Took a year off after high school and hung out with Blake Cotton. Went to the University of Utah for a year before transferring to Boise State. I earned both an Associate's Degree and Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Technology. During the summers I worked at Camp Perkins north of Sun Valley where I met a wonderful woman named Sally, who was working at the camp as part of an internship.
We married right after I graduated, took off for St. Paul, MN so she could finish her degree at Concordia University. I ended up getting a job at the university in the Communication Studies department. I've worked there for 5 years and have developed a TV studio, a video production truck that we use to webcast athletics (multi camera, replays, the whole ball of wax, it's awesome), and have helped develop curriculum for the media production courses.
