The quick 'n' dirty:
After high school, I earned my B.A. from the University of Idaho, where I was also a member of the track team. After four years in Moscow, I was ready to leave but didn't know where I'd go next. I moved back to Idaho Falls for a year to help my family as my mother battled cancer. While there, I actually substitute taught at good ol' I.F. High and coached track.
The following year, I went off to law school in Washington, D.C., at The George Washington University Law School. D.C. was a great time, but I quickly began missing my mountains. Upon graduation, I moved back to Idaho and have lived here in Boise ever since. I absolutely love it here.
I am still running - active in several running groups in the area - and am just generally enjoying life!
In my spare time, I volunteer on a variety of political and social causes at the federal, state, and local levels. My involvement in the Obama campaign in '07-'08 presented me with the opportunity to meet the then-Senator, now-President. It was awesome. I highly recommend it.
