Hi Jackie, This is Larry-Judy's husband.  My class used this site and people really became excited about getting together when they figured out they could talk about old times etc. on here.  The way our class president and the planning group worked was to "charge" people for each days events.  They of course estimated about what it would cost and charged more so that profits actually went in to an account to pay for the site and costs for preparing the next reunion 5 years from now.  We had over 30 people who had died since high school so we figured we had better get together more often or we would be meeting in a phone booth somewhere.  I know some people will fuss about the cost--but--during and after the reunion, everybody was tickled to death and in fact wanted to contribute for the next one.  We had a silent auction of donated items--a blanket with high school pictures--old photographs of the schools--trips etc. and several other things which raised quite a bit of money.  We raised $5,000 above costs to endowe a scholarship to our local community college.  Anyway, I really think 40 years is an important milestone because whether we like or not--several folks won't be around for the 45th--and it will go down hill fast after that--GOOD LUCK-- Larry Jordan----Judy's other half---she nearly has me trained by now!!!!

I think Larry has an amazing idea. I know that will make more work for you Jackie, but keeping the site after the reunion sounds like a good thing!
