LOUIS EDWARD BYNM,JR., was the eldest child born to Louis and Carolyn Bynm March 9, 1968 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born premature but fought the odds and developed into a remarkable athelete.

"Pete" as he was better known, attended school in Indianapolis. While at Cathedral High School, he excelled in football and basketball which afforded him the opportunity to receive a scholarship to the University of Louisville. He went on to become a member of the Louisville 1991 Fiesta Bowl Championship Team.

While yet in high school PETE met the love of his life, Paula; they were married May 4, 1994. He loved his family and was extremely proud and protective of his daughters Savanah and Jalah. He started working as an investigator for the Attorney General's Office and eventually advanced his career to become an agent for Homeland Security. When PETE wasn't working he enjoyed golfing, smoking cigars or eating butterpecan ice cream with Golden Oreos. PETE was also known for looking for the best deals and trying to stretch a dollar.

PETE was a man's man. Strong athletic, determined, resolute. He accomplished more in his short time on earth than most men do in their entire lives. At the same time, he was also a very giving, caring and loving  individual. However, PETE's lasting legacy will be the words of inspiration he spoke to the younger generation. He helped them focus beyond where they are today, to envision where they should be going and what they can become. We have lost a good man, a dear friend, a great husband, an excellent father, and a wise mentor. But he will live on in the words he spoke as they are passed from one generation to the next.

PETE, you will be loved forever and forever missed by your loving wife, Paula; daughters Savanah and Jalah; mother Carolyn; sisters Diane, Shanie and talia; as well as a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. PETE was preceded in death by his father, Louis Edward Bynm, Sr., and brother Wayne "Dino" Safford.
