Diane Patricia “Pattie” Hutchison, age 72, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Fleur Heights Care Center in Des Moines, Iowa while under the care of Suncrest Hospice. Pattie was born February 17, 1951, in Des Moines, Iowa to Charles and Doris (Patey) Hutchison. She graduated from Indianola High School in Indianola, Iowa. She was employed in the medical field as a Nursing Assistant. She enjoyed Country Music, English chocolates, long phone conversations and anything with a British flag on it. She will be remembered for her positive attitude, her love of family and her amazing ability to remember things. Diane is survived by her brother, Patrick Hutchison of Stone Mountain, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Doris Hutchison. Cremation will occur and there will be no formal services held at this time.

Sorry to hear about Diane. We met in class at Whittier Elementry, then Jr. High and High School.
It was obvious that Diane had difficulties that most of us never have to deal with.
But I was fascinated watching how Diane handled them all.
Her and Dennis Rodda taught me alot about understanding and compassion.
Now I have a special daughter who is the light of my life.
