Losing Rachel during our senior year was a very sad time for all of us.  I always remember her with a smile on her face, and I'm sure all of you do too.  If any of you have something you would like to say about Rachel you can email me and I will gladly put it up here or just post a comment below. Also, I would love to put a picture up, so if anyone has any of Rachel please email them to me.  For now, I am just putting up the poem that Jesse Farris wrote for Rachel in our yearbook.  Hope you don't mind Jesse.

Rachel Smith 1984-2003

The time has been taken, it's all too late

I'm left here broken and bound by your fate

But all through the night, your light is still there

If I'd just catch a ray, you'd drown the despair

The life of a friend has been lost in this place

To whom no one else will ever replace

But to know where you are, it comforts my heart

Your life's pain is now over, renewed pure from the start

For the times I wasn't there, for the times that we lost

I'd pay any sum, just give me the cost

Because now that you're gone, that you went away

There's still so much left I wish I could say

But the time has been taken, it's all too late

But even though you are gone, even though we're apart
