Memorial services for David R. Moore, age 59, will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct 6, 2009, in the sanctuary of Northside United Methodist Church with Dr. Don Thrasher officiating.
Mr. Moore died at the Jackson-Madison County Hospital on Sunday, Oct 4, 2009.
A native of Jackson, he was born Oct 13, 1949, the son of Dolores Moore and the late Perry Moore, Jr. He was co-owner of Merry Maids of Jackson. David was an avid golfer and was affectionally known as foot-wedge on the golf course. He enjoyed life with a great sense of humor. He was a member of Northside United Methodist Church where he taught fifth and sixth grade boys and loved his church.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Moore of Jackson, TN.; his mother, Dolores Moore of Jackson, TN. and his sister Margaret Anne Phaff and husband Bill of Round Rock, TX., as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to Northside United Methodist Church, 2571 N. Highland, Jackson, TN. 38305 or to MDA/ALS Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, 1301 22nd Ave S. #3603, Nashville, TN. 37212.
The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, Oct 6, 2009 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Northside United Methodist Church
