Fran Davis (Hughes Kiser) VIEW PROFILE

On November 2nd, 2022, Fran (Davis) Hughes Kiser passed away in Chandler, Arizona. Born and raised in Florida, she moved to Montana after college where she raised her children and positively influenced countless others through the lessons taught in her first-grade classroom.

Fran had a unique zest for life. She was known for her energetic, upbeat attitude; her love of the outdoors; her quick wit and her beautiful smile. Outside the classroom, Fran’s biggest impact could be felt through her love of tennis. Her infectious laughter carried far on the courts and while she possessed a keen desire to win matches, she never allowed a missed shot, a double fault or an undesired loss to get her down. Rather, she could be found energetically cheering on the next team with great enthusiasm and positivity (her “woo-woo” rallies in particular were recognized and admired across many leagues).

Fran is predeceased by her first husband Geoff. She is survived by her current husband, Phil, her children Kristin and Shannon, her daughter-in-law Karin and her stepchildren John, Jason (Jolie) and Jefferson (Melissa) as well as her grandchildren Julius, Taylor, Hunter, Reyce, Stratton, Grayson and Penn.

As her cousin remarked during Fran’s final days, “she was the epitome of love; she set the example for how to live life.” A celebration of life service will be organised on what would have been her 80th birthday in Kalispell, Montana August 2023.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Glacier National Park Conservancy https://glacier.org/donate-to-glacier/.
