Karen was a great cheerleading partner in 10th grade. She would stand on my shoulder at the games. She was a great person but I know she's at a better place.
Karen and I were best buds, college roommates, partners in crime (too many to name), and bridesmaids in each others wedding. I do not have a single memory since high school that does not include her. I have looked at her "In Memory" page many times and thought of what I would write about her. After attending the funeral today of another dear friend, Terri Combs Wilson, I realized that it is sometimes not what you say but merely the fact that you say something! I miss her - the fun we shared, the never-ending laughter, the tears, the jokes, the pranks, the road trips, many games of backgammon and all the great memories! She was an "original" and there will never be another like her!!!
I remember Karen was so much fun to be around. She was a beautiful girl with a great sense of humor. I have wonderful memories of her and how her presence could light up the room. I'm thankful that I knew her.
