Schooling in: Eastern Cape Farm school, Then Jan Cilliers Primary, JHB. (Afrikaans) Alternated with Schooling in 's Gravenhage,(Netherlands)
Highschool: Helpmekaar Boys, next to Wits. 1960 to 1966 Wits Medical
Houseman: Germiston Hosp.1967. senior Houseman @ Baragwanath 1968 (5 months. G.P.Locums 3 months in Germiston. Married 31/August 1968.
Medical Officer Stellenbosch 1968 t0 1972. Med Off/ Superintendent Zithulele Hospitaal 1972-1974. Requested by Dept of Health to Umtata: Assistant Secretary for Health, Transkei Gvt., Superintendent Umtata Hosp. Also acting superintendent of several surrounding Hospitals.
General Practitioner: Umtata 1976 t0 1982.
There also involved with Rotary, chairman of School Committee and church council member.

In 1982 moved to Cape Town started Anaesthesiology. Passed finals in 1985. Went into practice in 1986.
