How sad I was to learn of Diana's death. We spent most of the last three years of medical school together and both served as Houseman on Professor du Plessis' ward and as the last group to work with Professor Eliot. She was far and away the brightest of all of us and most liked by Professor du Plessis. I remember at the end of the 6 months with him he gave each a copy of Sir William Osler's book. His comments ranked us. Most got a note "with best wishes" and his signature. Diana's note said "To an outsanding houseman with a bright future" Since she left for Great Britain and I migrated to the USA we never once spoke or wrote to each other. I tried often to find her on Google with no success. If only we had this webpage earlier. Diana I loved being your partner, you were wise, considerate and unbelievably smart. I miss you and am grateful for knowing you. Your close colleague and friend, David Lipschitz.
