1969 Alumnus gives $1 million gift to Bishop McCort  [JBYERS@TRIBDEM.COM]

Inspired by the culture and dedication to in-person education throughout the COVID-19 pandemic at Bishop McCort Catholic High School, Johnstown native Bernard Skubak has donated $1 million to the institution.

“I don’t know if I’d be in this position if I didn’t go to Bishop McCort,” Bernie Siubak said..

The alumnus credits his education from McCort for his success and is thankful to those that provided him with a free education through donations 50 years ago.

“Somebody did it for me ... and I just want to help,” he said.

To donate to the Bishop McCort centennial campaign, call Smith at 814-536-8991.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Hi Kids…written announcements will be sent out if we do not have your email…so you will get one or the other…hopefully! (Thank you Bev & Ginger!) We’ll post updates as the dates get closer. See you all there!

Hi Kids!
What a great class reunion you all made possible! I can’t think of anything that would have made it any better! It was amazing to see how many of you traveled from out of state to attend & reconnect with old friends...and make the effort to make some new ones! We really did have a great class & I think we appreciate that fact more and more as time goes by. I’m guessing we’ll be reminiscing about this one for a long time.   Debbie (Gallagher) Rullman

Greetings classmates...from Rhonda Warner/Grasso and Joe Brezovic. We hope you all consider yourselves blessed to be in the situation we find you when you read this. We came up with this forum to provide a way for classmates to restart or continue keeping in touch beyond the Facebook or other social pages. With password entry, this keeps us safer from the multitudes. There will be a few advertisements who are sponsors...but we plan to decrease their numbers. This webpage continues what Rhonda has done over the years and enables us to reach out more. We hope you join us. No fee. Just friendship. If you have a glitch or query, send us a line, we'd be happy to try to find a solution. Please help us as a class to reconnect! We are missing contact addresses/emails on many...I'd hate to lose contact at a time when he or she is looking for someone to care. That has happened once to a college classmate...hopefully that won't happen with BMHS '69. Please join us! May God bless you in your lives, family, friends, health, and choices.
