MAUI HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1999

10 YEAR REUNION!!!

WHAT A GREAT REUNION !!!

Sorry that we missed some of you at the reunion. There were many who attended and partied the night away from 7:00 pm - 2:00 am.

FRIDAY CAMPUS TOUR

Friday's campus tour went really well. A group of 16 people met up at the school and took a tour that was given by the student government. We visited teachers and saw the differences in the campus. The highlight was when we went to the media center and saw the Junior Prom video displayed for us because they knew that we were going to be on campus.

The principal, Mr. Yamanuha, treated us all to a free lunch at the cafeteria. Beef stew or hamburger steak, salad, tomato w/ special sauce, sweet potato and choice of milk, chocolate milk or juice.

It was really nice to see the teachers again. Surprisingly they remembered us. Mrs. Joaquin was also one of our tour guides. It was nice seeing her again as well.

REUNION NIGHT AT OCEANS NIGHT CLUB

The night started at 7:00 pm. We blessed the food and had pupus of vegetables with dressing, teriyaki beef skewers, teriyaki chicken skewers, potato skins and drink specials of $3 Heinekens & $4 Adios'.

Lots of people came dressed up in Blue & White. And thanks to the donated decorations from Paulette Balasan & Shelley Andagan, the area look festive and wonderful. It really made the party pop.

Thank you to Rachel Kondo, Rachel's Boyfriend Justin, Shelley Andagan, Shelley's friend Jeremine, Marc Batungbacal, Kalei Uwekoolani, Andrew Pristyak, and Taschia husband Cliff, for setting up the decorations & utilizing all of the space available to us.

The night started off with people signing in and playing the name that classmate game. They grabbed a name from the fish bowl and would have to find that classmate to give them their name tag. They also voted on the King & Queen of the class reunion.

Autumn & Shawn, who were the emcees for the night, were fabulous at announcing the thank you's, recognizing the military classmates, and getting the party going with prizes and their energy and humor. They kept a nice flow to everything.

Autumn & Tracie set up and designed a GREAT slide show!!! It was so fun to see ourselves and the missing classmates from the party in this slide show. Everyone laughed and enjoyed when they saw themselves and their friends and how they looked back in the day. It was really nice to see this collage of pictures and rolling footage of our memories 10 years ago. Great Job!!!  There are DVD's available for sale for $15 a DVD. Please contact Autumn Taylor Arase at autumnarase@yahoo.com to order.

We had a King & Queen voting for the evening that everyone participated in and voted for whom they'd like to see crowned King & Queen of the reunion. The winners were your King Keoni Nakoa & your Queen Rachel Kondo. Hail his and her majesty :)

Thank you to Marc Batungbacal and his donation of the Photo Booth. Lots of classmates had a great time taking photos outside on the Lanai with all of their friends and creating great souveniers for the night. It was a hit.

We also had the opportunity to hand out old year books from 1996 - 1999. The library at Maui High is about to go thru renovations and they contacted us to see if we wanted some old high school year books that were going to be thrown away. We had about 60 books available that we gave out to our classmates as a souvenier. They had their choice of Freshman year, Junior Year or Senior year. All of us had fun looking at the pictures and remembering our high school days.

It was soooo fun seeing you all again all nice and dressed up. You all looked great and it really was enjoyable to party with everyone.

SUNDAY FAMILY BEACH DAY

Because everyone partied so hard the night before, there were only about a handful of us from the reunion that came to the beach. There were about 20 of us that met up at the beach and just spent the day enjoying each other's company. It started at around 10:30 am and ended at about 4:00 pm.

Thank you all for making this weekend a great reunion weekend!!!!
