Brock C. Wylie, 37, of Kansas City, Kan., passed away May 20, 2009. A memorial visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at Maple Hill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Association for Mental Illness. Brock was a 1989 graduate of Turner High School. He attended St. Mary College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He was currently employed at Johnson County Juvenile Detention. Brock was a devoted son, husband and father who will dearly missed by all. Brock was preceded in death by his grandfather, Nap Wylie, great grandmother, Edith Shingleton, uncle, Steve Wylie and aunt, Bobby Wylie. Survivors include wife, Kerry Wylie; mother, Jerry Wylie; sons, Jacob and Carter Wylie; maternal grandmother, Betty Wylie; mother and father-in-law, Earl and Janice Burke; brothers-in-law, Scott (wife Cheryl) Burke and Richard Burke; aunts, Kelly and Stormy Wylie. Brock is also survived by many great aunts, great uncles, uncles, aunts, nieces, one great niece, cousins and beloved friends.
