I am amazed that I even made it 20 yrs., let alone that it has been that long. I often reminisce about the old school days and it just doesn't seem like that long ago.
I have had a great 20 yrs. though. I got married in 1993 and had 2 great children that are very special but unfortunately did divorce in 2000. It was tough but probably the best for both of us.
I have worked at Gardner Parks and Recreation now for 14 yrs. and absolutely love my job. I get to deal with people a lot and make my community a beautiful, fun, and great place to live and visit. I am very proud of the improvements and projects I have been involved in during my time here. The City as a whole has came a long way from when I was the only mnt. employee back in 1999.
I spend a lot of my time coaching my kids' teams in all sports and running them everywhere. My son Caleb (15) is now a Sophomore at Gardner Edgerton High School and is working hard to being a great baseball pitcher. I think he will do well. My daughter Tori (14) is in 8th grade at Pioneer Ridge Middle School and really likes the boys, but also enjoys basketball and softball. She is also debating trying out for the high school dance team. I amvery proud of each of them and I am not looking forward to them grwoing up and moving away.
When I have my own time, which I do have, I like to have a few beverages with buddies, hang out at my lake lot, play sports, and travel when I can. I still have not grown up and don't think it will ever happen. I love being crazy and having a good time.
To sum it up, life is pretty good for me. Nothing so bad it is worth complaining about. Glad to have had the opportunities.
I can't wait to see all of you at the reunion.
