I am so sad about this.  For some reason, those that I attended with at Hale Cook, seem to be so difficult to understand. Alice was such a lovely person.  She was always so cheerful and happy. She had really great values.  She was very popular, and I was amazed that one year there were 2 Halloween parties. One was at another popular child's house and the other at a not so popular.  I was not invited to the popular child's party and attended the other and was shocked when Alice appeared at the party I was attending.  I asked her why she was at this party, and she said that she was invited to this party first, so she attended it.  I have always remembered that conversation.  I will always remember her dance and gymnastic abilities, also.  It was cool at Hale Cook to be athletically fit, and run fast.  Alice always excelled at all physical activities and really spurred me on to become fit.  I wish I would have had the opportunity to tell her what an impression she made.  We never ran in the same crowd in middle and high school, but she was always so nice. I have only seen Alice since, at our class reunions and never had the occasion to speak to her. I think I will make more of an effort to contact those who have had some sort of effect on my life, just to let them know. I pray for Alice's family as they go through this difficult time.

Baruch Dayan HaEmet (Blessed is the True Judge). I am saddened to hear that Alice was ill and that she has passed away at such a young age.

At the same time, I am happy to read the touching accounts of the positive impact Alice made in her relationships with her friends and co-workers, and that she was surrounded by a loving husband, children and grandchildren: to me, the legacy of a life well-lived. May her memory bring blessings, joy and satisfaction to the near and dear ones she leaves behind. My deepest condolences to all of us who mourn her passing.

I was saddened to hear about Alice's passing.  I have not seen Alice since school days but I do remember what a smart, kind and truly lovely person she was. I think many looked up to her both at Hale Cook and then in Jr. High and High School . I am sorry for not keeping in touch with so many people once I moved to Chicago.  Sorry I missed the opportunity to see her at a reunion. My thoughts and prayers  are with her family.
