Very sad to read of Janet's passing. She was in elementary school with me at JC Nichols, and maybe the very first birthday party I ever attended was hers--maybe her 6th?--at her house. I remember all the girls wore fancy party dresses with crinolines, and we played pin the tail on the donkey. This opened for me an entire world of party games! Janet was a deeply sensitive and fragile soul, and I wish I'd had the words back then to tell her what a wonderful quality that was.
