Gregory A. McGugin, age 51, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2001, at the Summit Medical Center in Oakland. A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at the First Presbyterian Church, 2619 Broadway, Oakland, CA, with Rev. Jack Shriver officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
Greg was a 1972 graduate of Southwest High. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Administration. He and his wife, Carol, operated the Calico Pantry Restaurant in Oakland for 20 years. Greg is survived by his wife, Carol and son, Scott; his mother, Nancy McGugin; sister and brother-in-law, Marty and David Shank, nieces, Lisa and Laurie and nephew, Brian, all of Bethlehem, PA.
