Summary:
 
A date of Friday August 19 and Saturday August 20, 2011 has been chosen as the dates for the Reunion
 
It was agreed to have the Reunion in Keizer. Casual/semi formal. Affordable.
 
First choice of location is Keizer Renaissance Inn & Conference Center (Wittenberg inn)
Kathy and Bob  are going to contact classmate/alum Sherry Haskins Gottfried (Sales Manager) to ask about availability and what kind of deals we can get on rooms. 
 
Second Choice Tuff Ranch/McNary Golf Course.
Will look into that once we find out whether our first choice is in or out. Todd can help out with those details.
 
Agreed on a Friday Night Social gathering. Jim  has a location and will handle all the details to be discussed at the next meeting. 
 
Note to Jim: Will you be able to outline what is available at the venue? 
You mentioned a bar. Will it need to be stocked? No host? What kind of seating is available? How many people can you accommodate? We will need location i.e. address/map. Just any details you can give us
 
Rich  has located the Senior film. He will contact Allied Video and find out if it can be converted from Super 8 to DVD and get a price quote. Cost will be incorporated in the overall price of tickets to pay for this to be done as well as a copy burned for each classmate that purchases a 'ticket' to the reunion. 
 
Note to Rich: If you could have all this information for us at the next reunion that would be great. If you can't then email Kristen she will work something out. 
 
Rich also volunteered to take care of Music for the reunion. We agreed on Time period music. DJ.
 
Note to Rich: Can you get details. What kind of equipment do you need and can you get? Who will actually 'DJ'? Can you get a volunteer or will we have to hire/pay someone? 
 
Question for next meeting regarding music: Will we have music at both Friday and/or Saturdays event?
 
A theme was discussed. Not sure if it was agreed to but a Luau/Hawaiian Theme was discussed
 
My (Kristen) question for the next meeting: Will a theme be incorporated on Friday or Saturday or both? Or do we want a different theme for both? or just one night and the other 'normal' come as you are casual? Either was a decision should be made so decor can be discussed and purchased.
 
Head count: Kristen is relying heavily on the class website www.McNary81.com and between now and the next meeting she will do her best to gather a preliminary head count for Jim and Kathy/Rob (And Todd if we choose Tuff Ranch)
 
Kristen is going to open a checking account and link it to the class website. Any volunteers to be her Keizer $$ contact. Jim has offered to start us out with a donation so we can put down any deposits that need to be made. A donation link will also be added to the class page. 
 
Kristen will email the group lists of classmates found and/or missing and solicit help in final searches. 
 
Note from Kristen: I have a few categories. #1 Found and verified. #2 Found and waiting for a reply. #3 Address's only. (Last known or most recent). #4 Phone numbers only (last known or most recent). #4 RIP's (There are actually 13 not 11 as I stated at the meeting) and just an FYI in my spare time (yeah right) If I stumble across people that attended but didn't graduate I will fill them in but am not going out of my way. 
 
Next meeting was discussed but not set. Early April was suggested. If nobody has a preference Kristen will choose and post a date soon for sometime in early April. 
 
I (Kristen) don't have anything else as drink #3 started to settle in and that's all I can remember.
 
Next meeting:
Friday April 1, 2011 or Friday April 8, 2011 same time same place? Feedback please!!
If you can make it great if not you will still be considered part of the 'committee', as well as anyone that makes it to the second meeting, and emails will be sent so you wont miss out on any info. 
 
Kristen will have bank/financial details to give.
 
Kristen will have a base headcount.
 
Rich can give film and DJ details.
 
Kathy and Bob (and I hope Sherrie) can give location details and a site for our venue will be finalized? And we can talk more about food/drink/dancing/hotel rooms etc then. 
 
Jim can give us Friday night locale and party details
 
A decision will be made as to a theme, if any.

Make note of ideas, questions, details and notes in general to bring up!!
