Comments:

After high school I attended Kenosha Memorial Hospital School of Radiologic Technology and worked in the profession for 11 years at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Due to my husband's job transfers I became a Domestic Engineer (stay at home mom) until 1998 when I became employed at my children's grade school as a Lunch/Recess Supervisor. I have been doing lunch/recess now for 13 years. My husband died July/2009 from the horrible disease of cancer. I am now considering getting back into the x-ray profession after reconnecting with an old friend from the past who is also an x-ray tech.
During the years my daughters were growing up, I was very active with the Girl Scouts and at one time was Girl Scout Leader for all 3 of my daughters troops. I am proud to say all 3 of my daughters became Gold Award Recipients, the highest award in Girl Scouts, and during my years of leading troops, a total of 12 girls under my leadership got the Gold.
My husband and I raised 3 beautiful and successful girls. All 3 are college graduates. The two oldest are working in their profession. One in television news and the other in the advertising field. The youngest graduated this year and is seeking employment.
Time sure has gone by fast. They say that high school is the best time of your life, but I disagree. I have learned that it is not what you have that makes you the person you are, but what you do for others.

School Story:

A strong memory I have from high school is from my senior year. My twin sister, Marietta, and I took speech class together. We sat next to Richard Baker and Bob Koch. Rich and Bob would tease us almost everyday and call us Chip and Dale. Not Chip and Dale the male strippers but the chipmunks Chip and Dale. lol! It did not bother me as much as it bothered Marietta. When our speech teacher assigned us to write a speech on any subject toward the end of the semester, Marietta wrote a very thought provoking speech called "Everyone is Beautiful" targeting the two boys who thought making fun of us was humorous. She received an A+ on the speech and the teasing ended for a short while. At our 25th class reunion we saw Richard Baker and reminisced about speech class reminding him of the Chip and Dale story. He said he was sorry for teasing us. "What About Bob?
