Kathy died after battling cancer for over a year.  She was very brave and fought until the end leaving a three year old daughter behind. As I learned later on, Kathy had much sadness in her life.  I pray that she is in peace now on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Jill Wiersig Leff

I knew Kathy since the 1st Grade at St. Mary's Catholic School.  She was a very precious little girl and we were great friends at Lance and Tremper.  We used to pedal those yellow "Environmental Vehicles" around town when we were 16.  We'd take the bus downtown and walk over to the store that rented them (a couple of doors north of Mayer Drug Store).  We were so into the "makeup and hair" thing.  We hung out at Newman Park in the summer and would go swimming at the Washington Bowl.

It broke my heart when she passed away.  She only had 32 years.  But when she closed her eyes for the last time, Jesus opened the doors to heaven where she now looks upon the face of God for all eternity.

Kathy and I were best friends through junior high.  She was the sweetest and funniest girls ever.  The last Time I saw her was (I believe) the ten yr reunion.  I really loved that girl.  I hope that you are now resting comfortably Kathy, I miss you.
