July 20, 1956 - June 23, 2019

Mrs. Lillian Elizabeth Patterson Bailey, affectionately known as “Liz”, was born in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Mamie Hairston Patterson and George H. Patterson on July 20, 1956. She was educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County public schools and was a graduate of East Forsyth High School. She later attended Forsyth Technical Community College and Aurora Beauty College. She worked for and retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. Mrs. Bailey was a member of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church .With great sadness the family of Lillian P. Bailey experienced her unexpected passing on Sunday, June 23, 2019. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Marvin L. Bailey Sr. and their children: Timothy E. (Leisha) Patterson, Marvin Bailey, LaTonya Funderburke and God daughter, Johna Dalton; brother, George J. (Laura) Patterson; sisters: Lorraine H. Mayes, Rosa Patterson, and Alice P. Carter; six grandchildren; a great granddaughter; her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and her dear friends.
