Timothy Alan Irick, 54, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at home with his wife. Per his request, the family has donated his body to Restore Life in Johnson City. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, at Northeast Church of Christ, 2217 Beechnut Drive, Kingsport. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. in the chapel.

Timothy Alan Irick, 54, ended his journey here on earth Thursday (Oct. 2, 2014) at home with his wife.
He was born in Kingsport and had resided here the majority of his life. He was a 1978 graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School and attended Tennessee Tech before pursuing a career as a mechanic, which he loved. He was a member of Colonial Heights Christian Church.
Tim loved spending time with his family and walking on the farm.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gether Sr. and Mae Irick, and Earl and Dora Myers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Canye Sweeney Irick of the home; his parents, Gether Irick Jr. and wife Sarah of Gray, and Freda Snyder and husband Bill of Kingsport; daughters, Julia Irick and partner Michael Horgash of Gray, and Tabitha Irick and partner Cameron Hillebrand of Gray, stepdaughter, Jessica Phillips and husband Paul of Himilton, New Zealand; stepson, Justin Jennings and wife Christy of Kingsport; foster son, Christopher Jennings of the home; grandson, Seven Hall of the home; brother, Steve Irick of Nashville; grandchildren, Dakota, Madison and Guinevere; stepsisters, Beth Renfro and husband David of Gray, and Luci Creech and husband Andy of Gray; stepbrother, Andy Parris of Marietta, GA; and many nieces and nephews.
He also leaves behind two special furry pals that will miss him deeply. Digger and Precious were a great comfort to him in the last weeks of his illness.
Per his request, the family has donated his body to Restore Life in Johnson City.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3pm on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014 at Northeast Church of Christ, 2217 Beechnut Drive, Kingsport.
A memorial service will be held at 3pm in the chapel with Craig Cottongim officiating.
