I think I've become addicted to school. I am still going to school. I studied to become an Air Traffic Controller after high school. I did that for 3 years. I then went on to study to become a pilot, got my private license. I got certified as a make-up artist and now I am in my last semester of UWI.
My favorite story is when Mrs. Martin caught me Alicea, Judith, Althea, Andrea and others in a classroom dancing. In relating the incident to another teacher she said she caught some of us on the desk and some of us below ground level. I have so many funny memories with that woman.
Do you still see/talk to/hang out with any classmates? Who?
I talk with Alicea, Marsha, Althea, Tameka, Erika (not from our year), Judith regularly. Andrea and I don't talk often enough. I used to see Patricia Muir often but not anymore. She told me she was getting married so she's probably busy now making babies.
What did you want to do or think you were going to do when you finished high school?
Honestly, I never had a plan. I remember my aunt offering to send me to medical school and when I checked it out and found I would have to study for 7 years I changed my mind. I might as well had gone because it's way past 7 years and I am still studying.
What did you always want to do that you haven’t done yet?
Become a racecar driver! Realistically, I'd like to finish my commercial license and become a real pilot. Now I can only fly for personal use or carry friends. Not for money.
What are your memories of high school (i.e.embarrassing moment, funniest thing you did in high school, favorite high school hang out, favorite teachers)?
I loved to hide and buy patties at tastee with Judith. When the rain fell we opened our mouths and said we were having patty and rain. Also when Madame McFarlane brought croissant and orange juice for us in french class. I also loved the time we put on the concert. That was huge.
