Robert Abrams

Robert T. Abrams, 46, of Hanscom Road died Monday, July 24, 1995, at Maine Medical Center, Portland. He was born in York, son of Charles A. and Elizabeth Orr Abrams, graduated from Robert W. Traip Academy here and later received a bachelor's degree in special education.

Mr. Abrams served in the Air Force from 1974 to 1978 and 1980 to 1985. He also served in the New Hampshire Air National Guard from 1978 to 1980 and 1987 to 1995.

He was a communications and navagation systems technician and production controller. He served during the Desert Shield and Desert Storm operations and received multiple medals and ribbons during his career. While in the military, he traveled all around the world.

He was a truck driver at City Concrete of Portsmouth, N.H., and other area companies.

Surviving are his wife, Alberta Ryder Abrams; his mother of Eliot; two sons, Robert T. Jr. of Eliot and John T. Marshall of Portsmouth; three stepsons, George McIntyre Jr. of Stratham, N.H., Andrew McIntyre of Turner and Robert Gay of Eliot; a daughter, Rena L. Abrams of Eliot; a sister, Barbara MacQuinn of Bar Harbor; and a stepgranddaughter.
