Robert Daskoski

YORK, Maine - Robert "Bob" Leon Daskoski, age 69, formerly of Eliot passed away Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. His death follows a short battle with lung cancer.

Bob was born in Coronado, California on Feb. 14, 1948. He was raised in Kittery, Maine and a graduate of Traip Academy. After graduation Bob completed the apprenticeship program through the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and went on to become a nuclear engineer technician. He retired from the Shipyard after 45 years of dedicated service, during which time he was recognized for many outstanding accomplishments.

Bob married his high school sweetheart Sandra Bell and together they had two children, Paul and Scott. He was very proud of his boys, and the men they grew to be.

Bob also had a partnership with D&H Construction Inc. He was extremely talented with his hands, and enjoyed woodworking and furniture craftsmanship. As an avid outdoorsman, Bob loved to spend time at his camp in Carry Place Township, Maine. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and fly fishing there, as well as the camaraderie of his friends who joined him on these trips.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Sandra (Bell) Daskoski of York; his son Paul Daskoski and wife Laura, of Acton; his son Scott Daskoski and wife Catherine, of Eliot; and five beloved grandchildren, Andrew, Ella, Caroline, Pamela and Lucy. He also leaves behind his brother Gordon and sister in law Paula of Florida; his sister Joanne and bother in law Danny, and sister in law Natalie all of Connecticut. He will be greatly missed by all, especially his constant companion his adored dog Sophia.
