Ellen (Dow) Rourke

Dayton – Ellen M. Rourke, 35, of Buzzell Road died Sunday, November 11, 1984, as the result of an automobile accident in Standish.

She was born in York, a daughter of Donald A. and Ruth M. Leavitt Dow. She graduated from Traip Academy, Kittery, where she was an honor student, and attended the University of Maine at Gorham.

Mrs. Rourke was employed by New England Telephone Co. for 10 years while living in Waltham, Mass. After she returned to Maine, she worked for Sprague Electric, Sanford. At the time of her death, she was employed by Co-Hen Egg Co.

Surviving are her parents, a brother, William D. Dow, and a sister Patricia Ann Waterhouse, all of Dayton.

A funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Dennett, Craig and Gross Funeral Home, 365 Main St., Saco. Burial will be in Village Cemetery, Goodwins Mills.
