I was in a band with John in junior high and high school. The other members were Bob Gundry and Keith Durand. Later, when Bob and Peggy moved to Japan, Rob Golden (from St. Francis) played with us. I remember asking John to be in our band after I saw him at an orchestra rehearsal in Lanterman Auditorium. We had a lot of fun together playing music, although it was too short a time.
