EVERYONE deserves to be remembered, if even just a tiny "in-memory" comment, so I'd like to say that Becky must have been very special to God since He brought her 'home' sooner than most.
Becky was part of what I considered to be THE "In" crowd. She was popular... hung around with the likes of Norrbaum, Boomer and Sam — gafawed at the hijinks of Muggy. She dressed prettily and had a lovely deep laugh. Do you know, I can STILL hear Becky's laugh in my "mind's ear". I have a mental picture of her — 45 years after the fact — standing with the girls by the snack bar... near the drinking fountain. The sky is very LaCanada blue; the sun blinding-bright against the beige-white wall behind them. Becky wore a white dress (2 above the knee, doan'cha know!), books in hand, and a light pink cloth band through her hair... just above her bangs and in back of the blond shell that was her "doo". She was laughing at something... something one of you said.
Folks die. But they never really leave do they... not if they were liked, and liked us back.
