Timothy J. “Cheezeburger” Elton, 40, of Hokah, MN, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at his home. He was born on September 10, 1970 in La Crosse to Craig and Kathryn (Kimball) Elton. Tim was a 1989 graduate of La Crescent High School, where he was a member of the wrestling team that went to state. He had worked at Waste Management and was currently employed at Interstate Roofing for the past 15 years. Tim enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, and was and avid Green Bay Packer fan. He enjoyed people, his mom’s dog Barney, and always had a beautiful smile on his face.
Tim is survived by his mother Kate of Hokah, two brothers, Todd (Lori) of Oologah, OK and Terry (Debbie) of Gordonsville, TN, his step-mom Chris, step-sister Diana and step-brother Chad, a special friend Clint Lorenz of Hokah, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents, Floyd & Irene Kimball and Clifford & Minnie Elton, and an uncle, David Kimball.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 15th at 11:00 AM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crescent. A celebration of Tim’s life and potluck dinner will follow the memorial service at the Town Hall in Hokah. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and again on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
