Steven Sebranek

TOMAH — Steven E. Sebranek, 63, passed away at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tomah Monday, Nov. 21, 2011. Steve was born Oct. 11, 1948, in LaCrosse to Paul E. and Joy (Emmons) Sebranek. He served with the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War, earning the Vietnam Service Medal, a Bronze Star with three clusters and the Army Commendation medal with two bars. Steve is survived by his mother, Joy of Hartford, Wis.; two sisters, Vicki (Ray) Cote of Menomonee, Wis., and Paula (Ray) Nelson of Hartford, Wis.; three brothers, David (Sherri) Sebranek of Sun Lake, Ariz., Gary (special friend Jeanne) Sebranek of La Crosse and Todd (De Anna) Sebranek of Madison; nephews, DJ, Matthew, Chad, Paul and Joey; and his very special friend, Patty Swartling. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Dickinson Funeral Home, 1425 Jackson St., LaCrosse. The Rev. Scott Skogen will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to time of service Friday at the funeral home.
