Kathleen Rae Starch, 64, of La Crosse, died Friday, April 1, 2016, at the Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse.

She was born Dec. 10, 1951, in La Crosse. to Robert and Gloria (Fortun) Starch.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Jim A. Brown Jr.; her children, Wayne (Dawn) Schmeckpeper and Melissa (Charles E.) Schaefer; Jim’s children, Sean, Colleen, Jennifer and Brian; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews; and three brothers. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse. The Rev. Matt Schroeder will officiate.
