Ethan Smith VIEW PROFILE

Ethan (Smith) Rihnsmith

Passed away on May 28, 2013. He lives on in the smiles and laughter of his two daughters, Calla and Sylvie, in the heart of his wife Annie, and in the memories of his father Sheldon, mother Fern and sister Monica.

Ethan searched for passion and success in his life. His search led him from his boyhood home in La Crosse, Wisconsin to the shores of the Pacific in Seattle, Washington. His search led him down winding island roads on his bike, down steep mountain slopes on his skis and into deep conversations with his friends. His search led him into the arms of his wife Annie, and eventually, into the hands of his two young daughters.

Ethan lived for evening walks with his girls, for summer nights with friends and for snowy alpine mornings in the Cascades. He lived for exploring new places, listening to new music and long weekends cooking at home. He was loved by those who knew him in every stage of his life and in his passing.

An open house to celebrate Ethan's life will be held on Sunday, June 9th from 1-3 pm at Hoffner Fisher & Harvey Funeral Home in Seattle.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that any donations be made to funds set up for his daughters. Check contributions may be sent to Ameriprise Financial at 601 108th Ave NE Suite 1800 in Bellevue, WA 98004. Please send in the attention of Tom Faley and reference Annie Rihn in the check memo.
