My Story:

After CDS I went with a cast of other classmates to SMU, where having delusions of adaquacy tried out for the freshman football team. I was a walk on and a carry off. I think I lasted a couple of weeks. I spent most of my time there partying and going to
Mexico. After two years I transferred to Colorado College which was a much better fit; where I lettered in both varsity lacrosse and soccer and by some mistake was named my senior year to first team all league soccer team.. After CC I went to U.MO law school, in order to avoid going to Vietnam. In law school I played on a great rugby team, tried to get laid by undergrad coeds
my roommate, Denny Niedringhaus, was more successful and didn't try nearly as hard. I consequently flunked out and bribed my way into the Special Forces Reserves along with George
Robinson. Thanks to Lanny's suggestion.

After USAR found my way into the financial world, mainly as a bond trader, first in St. Louis, then Seattle(1year) and. Then Denver mostly until 1991. Made a lot of money and spent more. Spent a great deal of time in Hawaii where my brother, a PHD professor at Hawaii Pacific University, has lived for 35 years and Aspen where I owned a condo. I have the distinction of being one of the few people to lose money in Aspen real estate. I somehow got into the software business in Aspen a did fairly well perhaps due to the fact that I quit drinking and drugs in 1987 and am still a card carrying member of a "cult", known as AA.
After a pretty good run in tech field, when I started I thought software was fleece and a hard drive was something to do with golf.
I became involved as a volunteer teaching English to Hispaniics in 2004. I got certified as As an ESL teacher in 2005 and moved to Costra Rica in 2006 to teach English. I am currently teaching in Santiago, Chile and plan to return to Costa Rica at the end of the year to open my own school.

..Looking forward to seeing all at the reunion.

Update and comments: When I first typed my profile it was on my ipad so I've tried to clean it up some.

I have returned to Costa Rica and am enjoying catching up with old students and friends. (Lanny would understand.)./ My best memory of Santiago was watching the Cards win the World Series. Santiago is a big city, 8 million people, that is clean, modern and very safe. The economy is booming, cooper. Costa Rica is quite a contrast. It is at best a developing country famous for its weather, beautiful women, bananas, coffee and not having an army...The people are mostly poor and happy. I encourage all to visit and will be of help if possible.

I have decided to list my possible top ten accompolishments since 1962.

1. Talking Dan Schetter into buying a hotair balloon with me and a few friends. Dan and another friend are and have been for several years responsible for The Great Forest Park Balloon Race, a great event for the city.

2.. Flying in the Race dressed as a gorrila. I was a passanger not pilot.

3...Helicopter skiing in Canada.

4... Leaning to surf after 60...I'm terrible

5. Finishing 10 triathalons after 50...I would start out slow and then taper off.

6. Teaching blind and adaptive skiing for 25 years.

7. Volunteering in an orphanage in Cambodia

8. learning and getting certified. padi, to scuba dive.

9 Jumpimg out of a perfectly good airplane, only once...

10...Learning to travel and traveling
