Memorial Services were held on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 3:00 PM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille. 

Heather Rae Gillock, 34, died on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Iberia Medical Center. 

Heather was born and raised in Lafayette, LA, and lived in the Acadiana area for most of her life. Heather graduated from Acadiana High School in 1994, where she enjoyed cheerleading and excelled in speech and debate. She attended Sam Houston State University for two years in the study of Communications. Heather was known for her vibrant, outgoing personality and her loving, kind spirit. She was blessed with countless, cherished friendships throughout her life. 

Heather is survived by her great grandmother, Sarah Pierce Butcher (102 years old), her grandparents, Alvin "Tony" and Christina Toniette, her parents, Ronald and Jo Ann Gillock, her brother, Christopher Ryan Gillock, her two precious children, Madison Rae Mercke and Mason Anthony Toniette, her aunts, Karen Jean Toniette and Debra Lynn Gillock, her uncle Alvin "Buddy" Toniette, and a host of other loving aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Heather was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Emic Anthony Butcher and her grandparents, Rex Reed and Doris Laverne Gillock.
