Obituary:
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 in the Delhomme Funeral Home Chapel for Zachary Shawn Rivers, Sr, 37, who passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 11:30 am at his residence.

Reverend Gary Funderburk, Associate Pastor of The Bayou Baptist Church will conduct the funeral services.

Burial will take place in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.

Zachary, a resident of Scott, LA was the son of the Andy Rivers and Patricia Nicholson Felder.

He was a wonderful husband father son and brother and will be dearly missed by all, and our remembrance of his sense of humor and smile will always be with us.

Zachary graduated from Acadiana High School with honors, he then enlisted in the U.S. Army and served five years. He returned home then went to work for CC Techongies as surveyor and Crew Chief. Later he started his trucking business RPM Carriers, and continued for many years. Zachary loved the outdoors, enjoyed riding four wheelers and spending time with his family. He was very talented with Art and Computers.

He is survived by his loving wife of nineteen years, Tiphanie Rene' Rivers; his father, Andy Rivers; his mother, Patricia Ann Felder; his children, Dustin Desormeaux, Zachary S. Rivers, Jr., Hailie R. Rivers, his sister; Jessica R. Moore, and his brother Adam J. Rivers. His paternal grandfather; Charles Rivers and his maternal grandfather; Jay C. Nicholson. He will be missed by several nieces & nephews and other close family members.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ethel Grimmes and paternal grandmother Essie Rivers and step father Franklin LeBlanc & step maternal grandfather Andy Grimmes.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Scott on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 9:00 am until time of service.

Pallbearers will be Zachary S. Rivers, Jr., Adam J. Rivers, Brian Moore, Scott Nicholson, Timothy Maise, Jr., Scott McBay. Honorary Pallbearers will be Blaize Brown & Michael Nicholson
