Katina Yolanda Byrd, a resident of Boca Raton, Florida and formally of Lake City, FL. passed away May 30, 2010 at 4:20 AM at the Boca Raton Community Hospital in Boca Raton. She was born July 25, 1972 in Jacksonville, FL. She graduated from Columbia High School in Lake City, FL. with the class of 1990 and furthered her education at the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Radio and Television Communications. She was employed as a Sales Representative for Louis Vuitton Inc. where she traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad to London and Paris as one of Louis Vuitton Top Sales Representatives. Katina was well known far and near for her vibrant personality and charming smile, which would light up a room whenever she appeared. Her love for her mother Verlene and other family members was deep. Katina possessed a compassion and concern for others that surpassed her own needs even when she was sick. She received Christ at an early age and rededicated her life to Christ as an adult. She was a member of Faith Temple Harvest of Life Ministries, Lake City, FL., and Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, Pompano Beach, FL.
She leaves to cherish her memories; Mother, Verlene and step-dad, Henry Wilson; father, Jack Wynn, Jacksonville, FL.; devoted companion, Jesse Hemans, Boca Raton, FL, (who faithfully stood by her during her sickness, whom the family shall never forget); loving grandmother, Mrs. Annie B. Byrd; sisters, Schara, Stephanie (Travis) Myers, Christy, Michelle, Marcie; brothers, Cedric, Jack Jr. and Henry, Jr.; aunts, Delores Saulsby, Verdie McKinney and Betty Byrd; uncles, Joseph Byrd, Louis Saulsby, Dan Wynn; nieces and nephews, Te'ona, Nashell, Joanna, Miranda, Travis Jr., Tilon, Patrick, Enrique, Stephen; cousins, Renita (James) Shepard, Joseph Byrd, Jr., Donna Byrd, Timothy (Tinika) Dixon, Tedrick Dixon, Terry Dixon, Derrick McKinney; her cherished friends, Imee, Eric, Tisha, Liz, Melissa, Greg and Jennifer, all of Boca Raton, FL.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 11:00 A.M. June 5, 2010 at Faith Temple Harvest of Life Ministries, 348 N. Marion Avenue, Lake City, FL. 
The family will receive friends Friday, June 4, 2010 from 5 – 6 P.M.at Trinity United Methodist Church. 248 NE Martin Luther King Street. Lake City, FL.
