Michael James Youngs Michael James Youngs, 56, of Knollwood, Ill., died Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, at Lake Forest Hospital. He was born Jan. 16,1955, at Great Lakes Naval Hospital and was a lifelong area resident. Michael was a graduate of Lake Forest High School. He was a service technician by trade and was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping. He is survived by his daughters, Jamie (Tim) Schertz and Amanda (Adam) Antell; his mother, Esther (the late Bernard) Youngs; his brothers, Robert, Bernard and Thomas (Karen); and his two grandchildren, Isaiah Michael and MacKenzie Schertz. His family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, Ltd., 101 Park Place (Route 176, one block east of Milwaukee Ave.), Libertyville.
