After graduating from UF in '83, I spent 13 years as a reporter for the Tampa Tribune and three other Florida newspapers. From 96 to 05, I was a freelance writer for newspaper, magazines and websites. I also played music semi-professionally and worked part-time as a jazz DJ.

From 05 through 07, I worked in marketing at Bright House Networks and then in media relations at USF, and in 06 received an M.A. in English (creative writing) from USF.

Since Jan. 2008 I've been working at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Tampa. When not on the job or spending time with my family, I play bass in several bands, including Acme Jazz Garage and Swan City Jazz Project; freelance stories on music and film (recently, the Washington Post, Relix, JazzTimes, Jazziz, and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune); and pursue creative-writing projects.

Both of our kids are in college -- Chase at UCF (graduating this summer); Carly at UNF (sophomore).

I'm looking forward to reconnecting with fellow recovering band nerds and other old friends from LHS.
