Alan W. Grover, Jr., 57, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Levittown on February 5, 1962, he was a son of John W. and Eldortha I. (Krum) Grover of Bloomsburg. He graduated from Neshaminy High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1980 and served on active duty for 3 years. Following his discharge in 1983, he transferred to the United States Air Force Reserves where he served for over 10 years. After his time in the military, he attended Boeing Aircraft School and later Luzerne County Community College where he earned a degree in accounting. He worked as a mechanic at US Air for 17 years, retiring early when his health started to decline.

Alan enjoyed hunting in his younger years. He liked to watch football and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

In addition to his parents he will be greatly missed by his loving fiancé, Tara LaGasse, Bloomsburg with whom he spent the past 14 years; and brother, Todd Grover, Philadelphia; aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
