Troy A. Jenkins of Fairless Hills died on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was 52.

Born in Philadelphia, Troy was raised in Langhorne and graduated from Neshaminy High School in 1980. He then attended the University of North Carolina where he played baseball.

For the past 4 1/2 years Troy taught Culinary Arts for the Greater Egg Harbor Regional School District. He was also the owner and operator of T.J. Caterers in Fairless Hills.

Two of Troy's greater loves were athletic competition and mentoring high school athletes. He devoted 20 years to coaching football and baseball at various programs throughout the area.

He was a dedicated parishioner at St. Frances Cabrini in Fairless Hills and was also an active member of the Bordentown Elks, NJ #2085.

Troy enjoyed playing music and was a keyboard player and vocalist with the band "Skinny Mamie". He also enjoyed tinkering with his 1968 Cougar and riding his Harley Davidson.

Troy devoted his life and energy to his wife and daughters. With his best friend, life partner and wife of 20 years, Rita A. (Grant) Jenkins, he guided, coached, and loved his precious daughters, Jocelyn and Olivia.

Son of the late Elwood and M. Faye Jenkins, Troy will be dearly missed by his sister Joan Baldwin-Lowber of Germantown, MD.

He was especially close to his parents-in-law, Harold and Eleanor Grant, and his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Michael Grant (Celeste), Karen Taddei (Edward), and Linda Stitt (Jeffrey), as well as his aunt Pat Taylor of Philadelphia and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 325 S. Oxford Valley Rd., Fairless Hills. Interment is private. There are no calling hours on Monday prior to the Mass.
