I was at my son's soccer game here in Flower Mound, Texas back in 1995 (?) and looked across the field and thought I recognized someone. After some disbelief, I recognized that it was Brian Teeple and was so glad to see a familiar face, what a small world! Our families got together several times for pool parties and barbecues and then we got so busy with all of our children's sports, etc. that we lost touch for a little while. I was soooo shocked to hear of Brian's passing and my heart and my brain had trouble coming to grips with the news. He was a wonderful friend and what a fabulous personality! He always made me laugh and he is deeply missed.

Brian was a great friend. We were inseperable when I first moved to the area in 7th grade. He would come over almost every weekend (i lived near George School in Langhorne and everybody else it seemed was in Levittown) and we would do all kinds of things 13 year old boys with too much energy and too much time could dream of. Hours of swimming, playing stickball, hanging out at the Neshaminy Creek train bridge behind George School, sneaking in to the gym at George School, annoying my brother Bob, as younger brothers do. We played soccer together in high school and both were at East Stroudsburg together for college. When I was in Tampa living there for a few years Brian came over from Texas where he was living with his family and we went to a Phillies spring training game together and went out a few nites. That was the last time I saw or heard from Brian. I was shocked to hear of his death. God bless him.

Brian Teeple was always a good hitter and fielder in baseball. I played against him in little league. He always got hits no matter how we played him.

Brian would always hit the ball right up the middle. So, one game while I was playing center field, I tried to play right behind second base to cut off the ball and throw Brian out at first base.

Don't you know it, Brian hits the ball over my head to dead center. I ran straight back but didn't get it. Brian got a double out of it.

In Babe Ruth, Brian and I were teammates. In one game, Brain and I played second and shortstop respectively. We turned three double plays in one game which is a feat for major leaguers to do let alone 13 year old Babe Ruth players. We were going for a fourth when Brian was spiked by a Pennsbury AA base runner. Brian went to the hospital for stiches in his leg.

He actually came back to play in the game after he got the stitches but the coach didn't allow him in. He was a tough competitor.

Brian was a very funny guy in high school and at the reunions.

Miss you my friend!  Always kept me laughing.  Never forget you, me and Sheenanman doing air drums and guitar to RUSH while totally stoned out of our mind.  Thanks for all the great memories!
