Hello all. Was really nice to see all of you who made it. My first impression was that "look at all the old people here". You go in after reviewing the yearbook and find out those pictures were hardly even a good guide. But they certainly helped on the name tag, as the face I was looking at in person didn't ring true to the name I was reading. I had no idea what to expect going in, but before I knew it, it was 11:30. I heard things that rekindled memories and other things that I had no idea ever happened. Much as I racked my brain, I don't recall the M-80 out Mr. Brinkman's window. Anyway, glad to see so many of you and sorry to have missed the ones who couldn't make it. Pete Heltunen

I've read with excitement all new information in this web site. I was one who really had planned and wanted to attend but life has a way of changing things for us and sometimes we have to make other choices. God willing, I will be at the next one. I sure am happy to hear that I am not the only one who can't remember a lot of the detailes from school. It is so fun to listen to those who do remember. I'm amazed at Barb, Bonnie and Diane R. at how much the can put together. We had a great time 4 years ago when I came home for my moms funeral. We stayed out almost all night and never ran out of conversation. I miss everyone.
The profiles are great. Thanks again for the web site, I love it and hope to hear from more of you. Eileen

Come on down! Westman wins on "The Price is Right"

L'Anse's Bonnie Westman took Hollywood by storm last month when she won a new Ford Ranger on The Price is Right.
Will TV game show host Drew Carey ever really be the same?
In truth, Carey looked almost as happy as Westman in a video clip of the show--but he didn't jump nearly as high as she did. Westman is still soaring on the heels of an adventure that began in a UP casino and led to a California TV studio.

Hello all 68ers!

Diane and I had a great time watching Bonnie win her truck on the Price is Right. Neither of us watch that show so we appreciated Barb's notice. Wow! We know Bonnie doesn't have e-mail so I really must write her a letter. By the way, for all of us who live outside of the Hallowed Homeland of Baraga County, Bonnie made the front page of the venerable L'Anse Sentinel with an article and an accompanying picture of her and the "Trohpy Truck" (built right here in the soon to be closed St. Paul Ford plant).

Congratulations, BONNIE!!!

Hello everyone,
I was not able to make the summer reunion, but sure have enjoyed reading everything on this wonderful website.
Barb truly has done a great job on this and helping us remember such wonderful times of our youth. I also missed seeing Bonnie on The Price is Right- super to hear that she won!! Way to go Bonnie!

Barb sent me pictures and some of the stories from the reunion. I loved them all- especially Lee's story about Karl- I was totally unaware of that adventure. Brings back many great memories.

Would love to hear from you. My email is kaleesh@gvsu.edu
Have a wonderful New Year!

Can anyone identify the team members and cheerleaders in that photo the Gazette ran after the "66 team reunion?

 Hi Pete,

I haven't been on here as you can see for awhile, sorry.  I'll get back to you shortly, Gerry G. brother took all the pictures so I'll go on his site and grab one.
