Children: I've never felt grown up enough to give up enjoying my life, and sacrificing my time to properly rear More…a kid to adulthood with everything a parent should do to ready their kid for the world and all they'll need to know and be able to do to succeed in the rat race of humanity. My compliments and respect to parents who think it over before conceiving, not knowing how it's going to work out, but willing to sacrifice and determined to do a better job than their parents did. Having a plan to develop a newborn into a responsible, respectable, successful, polite, knowledgeable, clever, determined 18 year old just to turn that kid loose into the rotten world and hope the kids makes a better go of it than our generation did... that takes guts and a lot of good karma.
Military Service: Navy submarines, 2 of them
Yes! Attending Reunion
Comments:

I took two days to leave Michigan after graduation, I was in Milwaukee on Monday after our Friday graduation, and in Orlando for bootcamp the next day.

I went into the Navy, saw the world, decided to make my last relocation to San Diego and here's where I'm staying. No where in the world has such good weather, average temp is 75 year round, less than 30 inches of rain all year, most years are around 10 inches, temp rarely is higher than 90 or lower than 45. Humidity is low, and there’s never any snow. It’s the 8th largest city in the US and anything I want to do is with a 1/2 hour drive, or an hour and a half to downtown LA.

I did 10 years in the Navy, I went submarines not ships, and Military Police too. I visited 8 countries, lived in each corner of the US, a summer in Texas, and I recommend Australia the highest, the Persian gulf the lowest.

I lived for 4 years in Hawaii, and have been in San Diego since 1995. I got out of the Navy in 1999 and have been a cable guy, a radar repair tech, a warehouse manager, factory mechanic, wheelchair mechanic, and I just started with Lockheed for twice what the last job paid. It never hurts to apply for everything you can pull off if they hired you.

I've had about 7 musclecars, and the latest is the best... since I'm in the best city in the US for car shows I get to most of them, and put together my enjoyment of the shows, the cars, and photography into my own website http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/ for the past two and 1/2 years.

I didn't keep in touch with any classmates very long, or shipmates from either of my two subs, but I'd like to find out what happened to everyone since we went our separate ways. My intent is to get back to L'Anse for the reunion, I can’t tell how successful that will be until the day it occurs, but my interest is even higher after getting in touch with the handful of classmates I’ve found on Facebook, and exchanging emails with some of you here.

I've had 3 live together relationships, never married, no kids, and I met my current girlfriend at the Hotel Del Coronado, http://www.hoteldel.com/ and have been with her about 16 months. She's got a lot of similar likes, cars, photography, cribbage, movies, etc... and she's 3 years younger than my mom. No kidding, it made my mom choke when I sprung that on her.

I was thinking about this profile earlier and wanted to add:
Fell in love twice,
watched one friend die (cancer) then took care of his mom for 3 years (there's a lot to learn from 88 year old people) because he would have done that for me...
I've donated about a gallon and a half of blood, mostly when the blood bank was trading tickets to Gulls hockey, Chargers, Padres games, or concerts like Aerosmith and Scorpions (San Diego rocks) ...
I've saved one life,
owned and lived aboard a 46 foot Chris Craft Constellation yacht for 3 years in San Diego bay.. just a 1/2 mile off the Pacific Ocean....
I have only had one pet (a cat),
I've drag raced in 3 states (MD, HI, CA),
traveled around the planet once taking 6 months, slept next to nuke weapons (TLAM-N) had a TS SCI clearance and used it,
watched the sunrise in 4 continents, 3 oceans, and 4 islands
have only been stupid drunk once and have a great story to prove it,
only met one Hollywood celeb, but only BS'd with Vic Edelbrock Jr,
I've posted my website without ever paying for internet access by hopping onto unsecured wifi,
never learned a musical instrument,
dated a grandma for a couple months, (she was 35)
wasted a roll of nickels in Yokuska Japan and never gambled again til Saturday July 11 2009... tripled my 5 dollar bet on a slot machine first play, then quit again.

restored 1969 Corvettes,
driven across the US 9 times and recommend hwy 89 from Brigham City Utah to the Grand Tetons as the most beautiful.
and I've inherited a full garage of tools from friends, it's crazy how friends will think of a car guy first, and felt I'd get more use than some stranger who'll never tear down a car and rebuild it.
Update feb 2010: My website was just ranked #14 in a top 25 of all automotive websites http://www.ridelust.com/ridelust%e2%80%99s-top-25-car-blog-and-websites/

School Story:

"This can be used for anything you'd like to recall from your years at L'anse High School"

Tracy or Marianne or Raeanne censored it. Hegemony and intolerance result in what? Grow up

I had acquaintences in far greater numbers than friends, and I feel honored that so many I barely knew have told me they hope to see me again at the reunion.
